  • Prefer if has experience with a restructure - this site just finished one

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary of the duties of the position:

Accountable for the effectiveness of site wide operations and financial performance 

Primary responsibilities for this position: 

  • Serves as back-up for the Site Manager
  • Provides Operations Managers first line of support for resolving resource and coordination issues with other plants
  • Conducts Daily Site wide Performance Review
  • Determines capital and cost reduction priorities site wide
  • Works with EHS&S, QA, Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Managers to coordinate resources
  • Ensures compliance with EHS&S standards
  • Coordinates staffing and determines proper staffing levels
  • Primary contact for Operations union issues
  • Provides Operations Managers first line of support for off-shift problem solving & issues (people & coordination)
  • Approves area maintenance shutdown schedules
  • Responsible for the financial performance of each area
  • Ensures inventory procedures are maintained and accuracy is consistent
  • Prioritizes capital budgets and projects
  • Communicates daily and weekly site performance
  • Coordinates lab priorities to meet operations needs
  • Involved in the monthly S&OP process

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education/Experience/Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering Preferred)
  • 15+ years of operations experience in a chemical manufacturing plant including leadership/management experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
