Crisis Management Consultant

Our growing client has just created an employment opportunity on their Business Continuity Management team!


Tasks, daily and otherwise:

  1. Facilitates risk assessments to evaluate potential threats to business viability and associated risks, and reports to management
  2. Creates and maintains business continuity plans
  3. Assist with building the CM program, using industry best practices for crisis/incident management
  4. Documents procedures, training materials, and policies, as assigned
  5. Assists in preparation for audit events
  6. Acts as a vital member of Crisis Management Team and assists with incident response by following the internal plans, policies, and procedures
  7. Works with other business groups during incidents
  8. Develops mission critical strategies for crisis and incident management
  9. Conducts business impact analyses to identify time-sensitive business units/processes; can understand analysis and results to create and deliver management reports to key stakeholders


Required Skills and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Established proficiency in following instructions, problem solving, proof reading, quality assurance, analytical skills, and MS Office (Visio, Word, Excel, Project)
  • BC-DR Certification is strongly desired (ABCP, CFCP, CBCP, MBCP, CBCI, AMBCI, SBCI, MBCI, and/or DRCE)
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a Business Continuity and/or related area
  • Crisis Management experience required
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; this will be assessed during the interview process
