Lead Business Analyst
Weston, FL

The Lead BA COE role is responsible for supporting the team’s governance, business processes, standard service offerings, and best practices. The role challenges the status quo to develop innovative solutions that help advance business analysis as a discipline and helps expand business analysis service offerings. 



Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Define the set of strategic and core BA processes and coordinate the build out of enhanced templates and tools.

Create new and innovative processes, tools, or techniques and proactively drive their adoption.

Build out BA training plans to grow the professional development of the team.

Coach and mentor others to improve their efficiency in business analysis techniques.

Foster a collaborative approach to obtain feedback and opinions about business analysis practices.

Develop greater organizational awareness and understanding of business analysis processes.

Develop quality reviews and contribute to metrics and KPIs for assessing and improving business analysis performance.

Mentor and guide teams on applying lean/agile principles, collaborating and providing hands-on support to employees.

Collaborate with technical architects to evaluate the suitability of applications/solutions in support of the business and IS roadmap.

Help fulfill the delivery of BA services for the enterprise, such as vendor evaluation and selection, solution feasibility and options analysis, business case development, and business process improvement.

Continually monitor the market for technologies and processes which enhance business analysis techniques.



Required Qualifications: 

  • Expert level knowledge of SDLC agile and waterfall processes
  • Expert level expertise in business analysis techniques
  • Demonstrates experience in successful, complex project delivery
  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Displays effective research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, influencing, relationship management, and presentation skills.
  • Takes lead acting upon process change ideas and demonstrates ability to influence others towards consensus, action, and change
  • Demonstrates strategic orientation in approach to solutions

(Experience, Education, Certification, License and Training)

  • 7+ years of BA/PM experience
  • 10+ years of IT experience
  • Business Analysis Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Professional services consulting experience
  • Prior BA management experience
