Global company and industry leader is looking to expand their engineering group and seeking a Process/Process Development Engineer. Will apply process engineering knowledge to support the development, scale up and production of chemical intermediates and final bulk products in this manufacturing environment. Will be responsible for monitoring and managing process performance in a cGMP environment.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

Provide primary day to day technical assistance for assigned processes and also work with lab chemists and assist in the development and scale up of new or modified products/processes.

Investigate process upsets and deviations

Identify and initiate process improvements

Participate in PHA's (process hazard analysis). Ensure compliance with site EHS initiatives.

Serve as technical lead for capital projects including engineering, scale up and startup support and troubleshooting.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering (maybe Chemistry) with 3+ years of industrial experience.

Prior hands on manufacturing and/or pilot plant experience with ideally batch fine/specialty chemicals but open to other types of chemicals involving reaction chemistry. cGMP manufacturing experience a plus.

Must have experience with reaction chemistry and ideally in a PSM regulated plant.

Should have strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills. (engineering calc's, sizing equipment, reaction kinetics etc) as well as process development/scale up experience.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Should be viewed as promotable.

Strong computer skills in a variety of software packages.

University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
