JOB DESCRIPTION

The Controller will be expected to manage finance and accounting information and will be part of the corporate Burnham accounting team. Their role will be to assist management and the corporate office in Burnham, Illinois by communicating duties with the corporate accounting team. This position will require Managerial Accounting background and the right person for this role will have extensive decision making experience providing sound financial cost accounting advice while reporting directly to the CFO. The Controller will also be responsible for collecting data to help determine future trends and anticipate future expense.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requisite skill set for this position includes the following:

• Must be able to produce accurate and timely financial reports
• Able to travel up to 50% of the time
• Competently complete an efficient month end close
• International Experience with Accounting Operations Desired
• Understanding of process costing
• Understand, maintain and control interface between internal software
• Able to produce forecasting reports
• Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Word

 

Required Education and Experience

• Experience of five or more years desired
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired
• CPA preferred
• Experience with Paychex a plus
• Bachelor of Science in either Accounting or Finance

Salary is negotiable, based on experience.
