PURPOSE: Located at Global Headquarters and reporting to the VP Finance, Americas Welding, your main responsibility will be to improve the organization’s ability to integrate newly acquired businesses in line with Company standards and accelerate achievement of business objectives.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
Work in cooperation with regional management to ensure the finance functions of new business are integrated in accordance with Corporate standards, such as:
Corporate Policies and Procedures (U.S. GAAP)
Corporate Reporting Requirements
Internal controls (Sarbanes-Oxley)
Visit and perform management reviews of existing businesses compliance with key accounting and control requirements.
Generate reports of issues identified
Perform hands on training of local finance staff to ensure remediation
Serve as temporary controller in new or existing business when the need arises
This role requires extensive on-site support, ensuring proper training of finance staff and implementation of policies and controls.
In addition, you will be required to travel globally as we currently have and continues to acquire businesses around the world.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting with a CPA qualification preferred.
7 to 10 years of work experience as a Financial Controller /Director in a multi-national corporation is required. Big 4 auditor experience is preferred.
A strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley processes.
Experience in SAP preferred.
Fluency in English is required, with additional languages skills preferred.
Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
