Sales Account Manager:  The Account Manager can live in PA, Southern NY, OH, IN, or Southern MI, including the Detroit area.  Will work with field and technical sales, account management, servicing and maintenance of existing accounts, and new business development. Will travel in PA, Southern NY, OH, IN and Southern MI incluidng the Detroit area. Will be working in the powder metallurgy industry including metal powders and pastes, brazing pastes consisting of aluminum and copper based powders.  A prior Engineering or hard science background in Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Technical Sales is desired.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for optimizing sales volume, providing service and maintenance to current and assigned accounts, and seeking new customers and applications for the company's products to meet or exceed sales and profit goals. Travel to and visit current and potential accounts, and maintian close contact with customers' manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and Q.C. personnel to provide service and identify new business opportunities. Provide support to identify and resolve technical complaints and problems. Maintains awareness of competitive activity within the territory and recommends actions with product pricing, advertizing, merchandising, and product development opportunities. Informs management of competitive products and mechandising activites, recommends actions to enhance the company's competitve position. Recommends the addition of new products, modification or deletion of present products. Works within management in the development of sales forecasts, territory potentials and marketing plans. Implements strategies to achieve marketing and sales objectives. Analyzes current and prospective customer businesses and develops recommendations for marketing and sales goals. Evaluates product complaints and recommends product returns or other adjustments.

QUALIFICATIONS

They are seeking a Sales Account Manager that preferably has an engineering or technical background that would like to expand their career in Sales Account Management. In addtion, an existing Sales Account Management or Technical Sales background is desired. A BS or BA degree is a must. A degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Technical, or other hard science is desired. Two - five years experience is desired.
