JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and support IT systems within the Financial Engineering group in Investments and Capital Markets.

Responsibilities include;

• Design and develop new code and review existing code changes to ensure standard technology practices are met,
• Lead day-to-day operational execution of software solutions to assist with the monitoring and control of market and credit risks,
• Assist with appl;ication development and modifying and/or maintaining applications,
• Demostrate in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages
• Assist in other areas of financial research and engineering when defining requirements for systems applicatoins

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidate MUST have;

• 5+ years of Expert level understanding of OOP and OOD concepts
• 5+ years of Expert level programming skills in Java Core (1.6 or higher)
• 5+ years of Expert experience in Web development using J2EE frameworks like SPRING and RICH WEB CLIENT frameworks
• Good exposure/understanding of end to end software development; ex. Test Driven Development, Continous Integration/Delivery, Code Coverage and DevOps
• Experience with JAVA 8.x webservices and LINUX sustems
• Solid WORKING experience with databases
• Experience with performance tuning for scalability and stability
• Experience with Distributed Computing and Big Data frameworks
• Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripts
• Understanding of FIXED INCOME products
• Understanding of Functional Programming

University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
