This a growing manufactuirng company that has facilities in the U.S., Australia, Europe and Asia.


The Safety & Health Manager directs the overall occupational health & safety program for all U.S facilities of the corporation. Directs and oversees the general health and safety policies and procedures of the organization with a total of 260 employees. Assists facility managers in fulfilling their responsibility for providing a safe and healthy work environment, promoting occupational safefy, health and environmental awareness practices amoung all employees of the organization.

Develops programs and processes that ensure a safe workplace. Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the health and safety of the organization. Create and track safety-related objectives, metrics and goals for the company. Implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses and exposure to long-term health hazards. Enforce safety standards and processes. Create, maintain and improve policies and systems related to safety to create a culture of continouos improvement. Perform regular inspections and evaluations of facilities and properties. 


Undersatnds OSHA requirements, standards and procedures. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Is able to maintain up-to-date knowledge of government laws, rules and regulations pertaining to health & safety issues. Evaluate impact upon the company and recommend appropriate actions and activities to ensure compliance. Has exceptional managerial and administrative ability, a sound business sense and an entrepreneurial orientation. Possesses superior communication (verbal and written), and orgainization skills. The ability to manage a large number of complex, cross-functional projects simultaneously. Be goal oriented and highly motivated.

A BS degree in Environmental Health & Safety Engineering or Occupational Health or similar major with at least 5 years' experience in environmental health & safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Ability to travel occasionanally domestically, and to wear protective equipment as required.
