Jackson, MS location. Excellent situation, Incumbent just promoted to senior level officer position. Key is strong plant electrical system experience to include PLCs, power distribution, process control systems/equipment, AC/DC drives, electrical maintenance, supervision of a small staff, working with electrical contractors. Cadillac health insurance plan, low deductible, family and employee coverage is $150/mo., additional benefit allows employees to purchase any new vehicle at below dealer cost where there is zero negotiating. This is an excellent situation and an impressive place to work. Small facility with less than 100 employees but jointly owned by two very large steel companies. The person vacating this position was recently promoted to a senior level officer position within the facility and will be on hand to help his replacement handle electrical/control issues until he/she gets fully up to speed. Four year degree is required, preferably a BSEE but will consider an EET or similar/related degree. The most important factor will be the skill level. PLC experience is a must. Preferred candidate will have 10-20 years of work experience. The person sought will supervise six electrical maintenance technicians and have solid experience with PLCs (installation, logic. trouble shooting), power distribution systems, process control equipment/systems, AC/DC drives, troubleshooting electrical issues in the plant, and dealing effectively with contractors who are brought in frequently on both large and small projects. Someone with strong supervision skills is a must. Relocation assistance is provided. Company is VERY family oriented and is a great place to work. Prefer candidates from the Southern/Southeastern region of the U.S. Reports to President. Overtime is paid for anything over 45 hrs./week. Likely overtime pay will be $8,000-15,000 per year. Benefits are incredible, probably the best we have seen with any company, regardless of size (health insurance is $150/mo. for employee and family with low deductible and incredible coverage). First year compensation will likely fall in the $105-110k range.
