As a key member of the Management team, the Controller will report to the CEO/Managing Member and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the companies. The Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the companies. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, strategic planning, participating in deal analysis/underwriting. Further, the Controller will be responsible for managing the banking relationships and outside audits as well as tax preparation and filings for a number of entities.



  • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Serve as liaison with tax monitoring firm with respect to IRS issues with our clients.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, and consolidation and reporting to the Company
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Ensure timely financial reporting for all the companies to financial institutions and the partners.
  • Provide input to the underwriting team when required.
  • Be able to occasionally perform client on-site audits


Qualifications and Requirements:

         BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA highly desirable

         7+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in Commercial Finance

         Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.

         Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

         High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Other Skills & Abilities:


Must Haves:

         Computer proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong analytical and consolidated/consolidating projections using Excel is required.

         A displayed intersection of quality standards including; ambition, intelligence and ethics




         An interest in and knowledge of all things labeled “disruptive Fintech”

         Knowledge of Payment systems and payment software platforms

         Has some practice in the conversion of IT/Financial systems

         Some past exposure to Asset Based Lending and/or banking; Accounts Receivable Financing and Factoring

University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
