Accountant Job Overview
WNY organization has an immediate need for an Accountant. The Accountant will perform the accounting for two divisions and will report directly to the owner.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for accounts payable, purchase orders and vendor selection.
General ledger maintenance
Reconcile bank accounts and all GL accounts
Calculate and pay multi-state sales tax
Enter daily reports into Quick Books.
Monthly reconciliation
Manage certificates of insurance for subcontractors and effectively communicate with insurance agent
Back up for payroll and accounts receivable
Requirements
A Bachelors degree in Accounting is preferred but not required
2+ years of experience in accounting
Efficiency in Quick Books strongly preferred
Excel experienced required.
