The Director of ERM Solutions is fully accountable for successful deployment, expansion and maintenance of the ERM platform at the client Bank.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position reports to the Risk Management Executive Officer (RMEO). Responsibilities include being the architect for the enterprise-wide program for managing risk, maintaining executive buy-in for a cross-functional application, overseeing execution of the ERM roadmap, rapidly resolving risks and issues that potentially threaten the program’s short, medium and long term success. The position requires robust leadership and execution ability to manage the program’s expansion.

The candidate must have outstanding communication skills and ability to work both independently and as a team. While clear expectations are already in place, it is expected that the individual will work in a highly dynamic and less-than-structured environment. The opportunity also requires robust collaboration with bank wide resources and third party vendors.

 

Crucial Responsibilities:

1. Educate executive stakeholders on the ERM platforms ability to meet goals for their individual business while simultaneously fulfilling enterprise risk management goals.
2. Act as the escalation point for risks and issues.
3. Oversee multiple work streams as they analyze, design, build, deploy and test assigned roadmap initiatives.
4. Safeguard deadlines are met and all stakeholders are kept engaged and informed of progress.
5. Safeguard third party consultants deliver and meet expectations.
6. Must be able to influence others cross-functionally without authority.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

1. Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a related field
2. Robust written and verbal communication skills.
3. Ability to interact with all levels of management, subject matter experts and staff.
4. Provides extraordinary service and requires direct reports to do the same.
5. Eight (8) to Ten (10) years’ experience as a ERM executive.
6. Prior experience working in a bank or financial services firms a plus but not required.
7. Candidate must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills plus the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.  Must be extremely detail oriented and able to manage multiple complex work streams concurrently.
