In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with leaders across different departments and be responsible for leading a team of direct reports. As the Manager of Financial Analysis your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead a team of two to four financial analysts (coaching, mentoring, etc.)
* Ensure accuracy of financial information
* Identify opportunities for increased profitability, improved processes, etc. and make recommendations to the senior executive team
* Provide financial information to assist in the decision making process for various departments and the organization as a whole
Key Qualifications the Manager of Financial Reporting - Investments will need to meet:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA required
* Minimum six years professional accounting experience - Some experience within public accounting (large firms preferred)
* Minimum of two years of leadership / management exp required
* Lead a team of two to four financial analysts (coaching, mentoring, etc.)
* Ensure accuracy of financial information
* Identify opportunities for increased profitability, improved processes, etc. and make recommendations to the senior executive team
* Provide financial information to assist in the decision making process for various departments and the organization as a whole
* Ensures accounting information and system is maintained, credible and explainable.
* Various financial analysis projects
* Prepares analyses of issues to enhance the understanding of senior management.
* Collaborates and communicates effectively with other departments to ensure business needs are met
* Takes initiative to recommend and act on changes for the finance department as well as inter-departmental changes.
* Motivates, mentors and coaches individuals, fostering a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of accounting and reporting for financial services industry preferred. Effectively communicate orally and in writing, to all audiences, ability to handle multiple project by using effective project management skills. Organizational and prioritization skills, effective judgment, address employee issues on a timely basis.
