Underwrites and approves small business administration (SBA) loan requests (new loans or renewals). The Senior SBA Underwriting Manager approves, conditions, or declines new loan requests, renewals up to the limit of his/her commercial loan authority in accordance with bank loan policy and portfolio performance objectives. Additionally, she/he may underwrite and then recommend approval on loan requests that are more than his/her commercial loan authority.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

·         Provides outstanding client service to business bankers, branch supervisors daily.

·         Recommends commercial loan risks rating grades as part of the loan underwriting process or on an as needed basis in the interim.

·         Works with Small Business Bankers in structuring loan requests in a manner which will best mitigate lending risks while meeting borrower needs.

·         Additional job related tasks as assigned, predominantly special project work related to Small Business policy, underwriting, and/or risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree

·         At least 4 years of experience in credit administration, loan underwriting, commercial lending

·         Completion of a formal credit training

·         Extensive acquaintance with SBA SOP

·         SBA lending AND SBA credit experience

University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
