Our client located in NW Iowa is seeking an Assistant Operational Controller to be the right hand and own 1 of 2 main operational business units of this company. Looking for someone who is ready to be empowered, lead and make recommendations that will strongly impact the business.

The role will report to the Operations Controller who is seeking to refine and improve processes and really evolve into business partners to plant leadership.

What you will OWN & Lead:

• Have a critical eye and keep your eyes open to ensure you anticipate risk & opportunities in product movement
• Full accounting, inventory control, costing, financial analysis AND process improvement for this business unit
• Evaluate the impact of product mix and new products, and develop and report key performance metrics - AKA as their company grows, this person will evaluate those new products and how to most effectively setup those operations
• Will be able to implement process improvements in the plant

Ability to grow within the company and move to Controller role, or move to corporate office in accounting/finance role

QUALIFICATIONS

• Accounting, Finance or related 4 year degree
• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing/operations environment
• 2 Cost Accounting Experience
• CPA/MBA a plus
• Strong understanding of standard absorption costing

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
