Creative results oriented Marketing Leader needed! Are you a calculated risk taker looking to make a difference? Our client, a diversified Nebraska-based company doing business nationwide, is seeking a Director of Strategic Marketing and Category Management. Located outside of Lincoln, NE, you will be working within the many facets of the organization where you have a chance to shine by driving sales through your leadership and creative touch. As the Director of Strategic Marketing and Category Management, you'll report to the Chief Operating Officer and the CEO /President while managing a small team of category managers and marketing professionals.
The Director of Strategic Marketing & Category Management is responsible for:
* Development and execution of marketing strategies and initiatives across multiple divisions
* Leadership & strategic planning of all marketing and category management
* Facilitate a consumer-driven vision and tactical strategy to drive growth of the enterprise
* Execute pricing, product mix and promotional strategies to drive new and repeat consumer traffic
* Develop performance trackers, metrics, analysis and reporting to meet financial targets (Revenue and Profit and Loss)
Requirements that the Director of Strategic Marketing and Category Management will need to meet:
* BA in Marketing; MBA preferred
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role; job specific experience with P&L experience
* Experience in retail/distribution environments with a demonstrated track record of successful retail marketing management - Understanding of retail business operations
* Demonstrated knowledge of logistics/supply chain, demand forecasting, and VMI
* Self -motivation and entrepreneurial mindset
* Bias for action and willingness to roll up their sleeves to launch promotional campaigns
* Advanced leadership, analytical, strategic planning, creativity, project & time management and organizational skills
* Effective communication skills, written and verbal; Collaborative cross-functional expertise
Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
