IT Project Manager

Indiana, United States

POSITION OVERVIEW/DUTIES:

We are looking for a Project Manager that will be focused on business-critical IT projects around economics and a strong focus towards SAP core components as well as other business-related Software implementations combined.

  Specific responsibilities include:

• Performs project management of defined business application projects
• Ensures costs, resources, and time Management within projects
• Ensures that business requirements are translated and implemented during the individual project phases
• Plans, moderates, and reviews workshops with the relevant stakeholders
• Supports the management within all aspects of the individual projects
• Ensures a tight and transparent project controlling
• Manages and coordinates all internal and external people within the project as outlined in the project charter

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Ability to manage business application projects
• Ability to manage resources, costs, scope, etc. of assigned projects
• Ability to create an alignment and interface between management and the project
• Ability to initialize, prepare, moderate, and supervise meetings and workshops

  REQUIREMENTS:

• 10 years of project management / Realization of SAP Projects
• 10 years of profound project management skills
• International experience (Group/Regional function)
• Must be able to travel internationally
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or another related field

Experience required:

• Strong background in SAP and “go live”
• Full cycle implementation in global company
• Working in a matrix organization worldwide – Europe, US, China
• Traveling at times 70% when travel is more widespread.
• Person will be responsible for rollouts, workshops at different locations.
• Training users
• Will work with Plant Managers, warehouse, sales & distribution, customer service – will need to work with all levels of employees
• Ability to work with senior management if need to escalate issues

• The project manager does not have direct reports; however, he is directing the GIT team which consists of appr. 10 internal consultants assigned with 70-100% plus several GIT members from various departments for development, integration and technology assigned as needed. Furthermore, he has works closely with the Business Project Manager as a team. The business members on those projects are appr. 30-40 people

• We are rolling out SAP ERP (PP,MM,SD,FICO,WM,LO-VC) and BI together and integrated with Salesforce. Any specific knowledge within those modules are beneficial but not necessarily required.

QUALIFICATIONS
