JOB DESCRIPTION

  • This role is responsible for being the site leader for overall plant strategy and execution of plant connectivity (ex: OPC, JSON, PLC, MES), quality poke-yokes (ex: vision, digital torque, pick to light), and automation (ex: AMR, robotics, test connections, assembly line design).  
  • The position will report into the advanced manufacturing manager and be instrumental in formulating and managing projects both internally executed and contracted out.  
  • As the site leader, plan to partner with AMEs in team as well as with quality, operations, and IT to deliver solutions to the factory to positively impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.  
  • This manufacturing site will be moving to a brand new green filed site which makes this opportunity once in a lifetime to establish the Industry 4.0 future today.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

?REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

10+ years experience as a controls systems or automation engineer
Experience as SME for SCADA and plant connectivity
Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
Experience with IoT architecture, cloud-based data structure, on-premise services and communication protocols
Experience as a project manager including RFQ/Contractor management
BS in Engineering

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with Industry 4.0 standards integrating cyber physical systems into manufacturing
Experience with low & medium voltage drives manufacturing
Experience with industries in HVAC, food and beverage, water and wastewater, COG, energy, mining, material handling, plastics, metals, hospitals
Industry 4.0 certification
MS in Engineering

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
