Join expanding global plastics manufacturer as the Site Quality Manager, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. Strategic focus on defining and implementing the quality programs and intiative to elevate standards and continuous improvements in the Lean Manufacturing operation. Requires proven leadership abilities at the plant level for driving Quality excellence, consistency, and sustainability.
--- Responsible for the quality and consistency of the materials and products.
--- Define and implement quality improvements to improve operations and unit cost.
--- Investigate and analyze quality problems, recommending solutions and following up to ensure corrective actions are put in place.
--- Review quality standards, CTQs, and product specifications.
--- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates with production procedures to maximize product quality and minimize costs
--- Establish and direct teams to Corrective/ Preventative action for field or internal failures.
--- Act as a role model to team members and be recognized as the plant’s quality expert.
--- Assist production on a daily basis with quality related issues. Assist Technical Manager with assigned projects.
--- Oversee the coordination and evaluation of plant development trials from the quality perspective.
--- Plan and maintain schedules for major quality related projects.
--- Integrate and standardize Six Sigma concepts and tools.
--- Review and implement engineering and quality change orders affecting the production line quality
--- Assist the plant in maintaining compliance with ISO, corporate and plant quality standards
--- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality attributes of the plant’s finished products
--- Bachelors degree in Engineering with 5+ years experience manufacturing quality management in high volume Lean operations.
--- Extensive technical experience/knowledge: (1) material & product quality specifications; (2) test methods; (3) data analysis & report writing; (4) quality control systems; (5) critical to quality attributes
--- Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles, SAP, ISO, QMS, SPC; Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Preferred
--- Results focused – shows a documented track record of consistently using data based decision making to achieve desired results
--- Polished presentation, business acumen and facilitation skills
--- Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and of team based self-managing principles

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
