Our FL client is searching for a Production Engineer, who will be responsible for the site infrastructure (facilities, processes and equipment) for a large continuous chemical and mining operation.  Provide technical expertise for design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, modernization and protection of physical facilities and equipment. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

---  Engineering design, specifications, layout, drawings and bills of materials for major maintenance, plant improvement, and projects.   Ensure oversight of the structural, mechanical, electrical, utilities, site, environmental and other aspects of each project.
---  Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, codes and regulations and assist in securing permits.
---  Establish regular presence and familiarity with operating personnel, equipment, operations and problems.
---  Familiar and able to utilize Statistical Process Control to improve product quality and efficiency.
---  Plan, coordinate, monitor and track implementation and planning of Management of Change procedures, maintenance planning, scheduling and work execution.
---  Provide engineering services and recommendations to other departments and management acting as technical liaison for projects.
---  Assist with plant budget, capital projects, work requests, project cost estimates, and planning and scheduling of work.
---  Author, instruct and train employees in safety requirements and procedures.
---  Recommend preventative and predictive maintenance strategies and practices.  Prepare appropriate reports.
---  Regularly inspect plants and assist in emergency response and recovery planning and the maintenance of all required recordkeeping.
---  Initiate, coordinate and monitor all issues relating to air quality, water quality, water discharge and waste disposal to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

---  BS Chemical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering degree with 5+ years Production/ Project Engineering experience in chemical, mining, or material handling plants/ operations.
---  Must have extensive experience for maintaining, improving, safety, and upgrades for buildings, processes, earth moving equipment projects.
---  US Citizenship or permanent residency (green card) is required

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
