CCAR/DFAST Risk Executive
The client Bank’s Risk Management (FRM) division is seeking a robust candidate to join their team managing Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing (DFAST) processes. Regulatory deliverables prepared by the team are critical to the ability of the Firm to continue operations.
Responsible for building, consolidating and reporting stress testing results to executive management. Performs complex analysis related to earnings, balance sheet, capital and liquidity as well as associated risk exposures. Provides analytical support for understanding business/forecast strategies in the context of baseline and stress forecasts. Reviews and analyzes trends in stress results to best understand implications both internal and externally. Understands complex interactions between economic and operational factors and their resulting impact to product, business line and financial results & position of the company and can effectively communicate these interactions and implications to senior leaders. Challenges assumptions and results and is comfortable communicating and influencing business partners based on these results. Can quickly build credibility with senior partners.
Candidates will have significant exposure to the client bank’s executive management team.
Primary Job Responsibilities Include:
- Liaising with Corporate Treasury and Finance on capital planning and stress testing
-Managing risk identification process
-Partnering with risk managers and model owners on stress testing methodologies
-Partnering with stakeholders across Market, Credit and Operational Risk, Model Risk Management, Risk Analytics and other areas to ensure adherence to regulatory guidance and best practices
-Creating documentation and presentations to effectively communicate key information to senior management and regulators
-Creating methods and tools to streamline and increase efficiencies of various CCAR and DFAST related work streams
-Augmenting processes to support governance and controls, including attestation, challenge and senior management review
-May be responsible for team lead responsibilities of more junior staff including quality control and technical training.
-Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment.
