Equipment Finance – Sales & Business Development Division Executive

The main responsibility is to grow new loan transactions by identifying, sourcing, and closing feasible prospects for deals across the Equipment Lending and Leasing segment. The individual is responsible for independently developing and implementing the sales strategy, identifying appropriate referral sources and prospective clients in relation to their own efforts and that of subordinate Business Development offices.

Core responsibilities include:

  1. Research and identify new and viable direct prospect opportunities. Originate transactions through direct calling on companies.
  2. Identify and cultivate intermediary relationships (CPA’s, attorneys, bankers, turnaround professionals, and other appropriate intermediaries).
  3. Grow and conduct prospect meetings and eventually issue deal proposals by applying an understanding of the prospect’s industry and unique financial needs
  4. Partner with the underwriting team to tailor solutions to meet the prospect’s unique needs while effectively managing risk exposure; manage prospect expectations through the deal process safeguarding a successful close.
  5. Identify and attend pertinent and appropriate industry and regional events and trade shows for networking and new business prospects as appropriate.
  6. At least 35% business travel required to cover national footprint/geographic region.
  7. Manage all division sales activities. 



  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or associated field required
  2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in BANK Business Banking / Commercial Lending; equipment financing preferred.
  3. Ability to independently source leads and convert prospects to customers
  4. Established presentation sales, negotiation and influencing skills
  5. Established success working collaboratively to attain team goals
  6. A universal knowledge of lending deal structuring
  7. Skillful computer skills, including the ability to develop and maintain a contact database and maintain records.
