Senior stafff member on a team of 7 Manufacturing Engineers reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering. Huge facility, highly automated, sheet metal fabrication environment, painting/coating involved. Will be involved in every aspect of the facility to include reverse engineering of some older process equipment as well as specifying and qualifying new equipment for the facility.
Very challenging opportunity for a bright and promotable manufacturing engineering professional. This position touches on virtually every process in this large and highly automated facility. Preferred candidate will be coming from a sheet metal fabrication environment and have basic knowledge of planning and designing complex production dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges and cutting tools. Will develop improvements of special hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical equipment. Will monitor machines in the metal fab process. Substantial project work involved in the areas of progressive dies, machine tool specifications, welding/fabricating cells and acquisition of new process developments. Will investigate the availability of special machines to improve efficiencies and quality. Will develop capability requirements and acceptance criteria for new and existing manufacturing processes. The preferred candidate will have a four-year engineering or technical degree and 7-10 years work experience in manufacturing engineering in a metal fab environment, along with a stable work history. Excellent verbal and written skills are required for this senior level role. This is a very attractive long-term opportunity with an international manufacturer. Salary will go to the upper 80s with an attractive relocation package.
Four year engineering degree along with 7-10 years experience as a manufacturing engineer in sheet metal fabrication. Stable work history and superior verbal skills are important. Client will only consider someone with a pure engineering degree as opposed to a technology or other technical degree.
