JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support including daily review/ reconciliation of reports from Trustee/ Administrator/ WSO (extensive knowledge of the reconciliation process is a must)
  • Daily coordination with banks/ fund admin/ trustee, loan agents/ WSO
  • Responsible for portfolio loan accounting, tracking assignments, coordinating with agents to process assignments, paydowns etc
  • Review of monthly TB, Holdings, NAV for multiple funds
  • Calculation of management fees and incentive allocation, hurdles etc
  • Calculate monthly expense accruals
  • Review capital calls/ distributions calculations and notices and investor statements
  • Prepare trade files for WSO and Fund Admin
  • Assist in monthly/ quarterly valuation process including accreted cost, prepare price matrix, coordinate with valuation firms
  • Prepare adhoc analysis requested by CFO re PNL, leverage, investor/ fund returns etc
  • Assist in evaluating current financial and accounting process, propose improvements and help coordinate implementation efforts
  • Assist in treasury operations,
  • Liaison with the external auditors, administrator, and other service providers
  • Establish accounting practices
  • Accounting principles and issues research, as needed
  • Financial statement preparation and review

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Fantastic, positive attitude, true team player
  • 3-6 years of loan processing, accounting, operational and financial experience in the in alternative investment management industry
  • Understanding of bank loans, direct loan originations
  • Hard-working, dedicated, punctual and personable
  • Must have attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills, able to analyze variance and investigate reasons for variances
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, specially EXCEL and QuickBooks
  • Passionate about working in a dynamic startup environment
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems — quickly and competently
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to organize and present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • CPA, MS or MBA a plus
