Excellent opportunity with a global chemical company and industry leader. Leadership role that is critical to the site. Great location near the gulf coast and great beaches. Person will assist in the leadership of a department that manages all of the sites contractors and annual Turnarounds (TAR) and fill in for the Manager of Contractor Services in their absence.
Assists in the execution of Contractor Management and Turnaround Management Procedures and Contractor Safety Policies and Procedures for the site.
Will have day-to-day responsibility for contractor assignment, safety precautions, identification of risks in the plant, ensure contractors are well versed in company’s safety and environmental policies and objectives as well as its economic targets.
Support implementation and continued developmResponsibilities and Dutiesent of the Contractor Management System (CMS) and Turnaround Management (TAR) services
Assist Construction Managers with safety support and field audits for external contractors. Assist in the planning and coordination of Site Turnarounds (TAR) with oversight of a large number of contractors and the execution ensure the maintenance and project work is executed over a 3-4 week period.
Supports NAFTA Contractor Management Officer (CMO) in the day-to day oversight and coordination of site Resident Contractors with heavy responsibilities associated with EHSQ along with manpower planning, scheduling and execution, and customer satisfaction at the site.
Assign and coordinate services to be delivered
Participate and coordinate the on-site risk analysis for specific orders
Assist organizing plant, project, and/or workplace-related safety instructions for contractors' employees
BS degree in engineering, Chemical Engineering ideal. An MBA and other related certifications are preferred, but not required.
5+ years of chemical process and plant experience including a leadership role in project management, turnarounds (TAR), planning outages, construction safety and process knowledge. SAP knowledge required.
Should have a breadth of engineering/technical wherewithal as well as proven leadership skills.
Can currently work for an engineering firm but MUST have previous hands on experience as a plant/process/project engineer in a chemical, petrochemical, refining environment.
