The Account Manager has a direct impact on customer experience. You will be responsible for retention and growth of an assigned customer base across Public Relations, Webhosting and Webcasting Digital solutions. You will be highly skilled at building long term customer relationships at all levels, and partnering with clients to understand their needs, objectives and challenges and recommending solutions. You build trust and ask questions to identify risk and create a client plan to mitigate the risk. You will conduct regular status and strategy meetings with clients to understand their needs and link them to product/service strategies.

The role:

  • Develop effective relationships with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of strategic customer accounts
  • Achieves revenue targets by minimising risk and increasing revenue spend per account
  • Facilitates client meetings presenting all available information
  • Proactively reach out to accounts to ensure there are no retention risks/losses
  • Provide information about products and services by raising your profile with clients through face-to-face presentations and phone conversations
  • Respond to escalated customer issues
  • Develop effective territory and account plans and then execute them
  • Manage the overall relationship with your assigned accounts
  • Lead the renewal process
  • Identify opportunities to grow the portfolio of products in assigned accounts and then engaging a BDM to help you
  • Locate the appropriate account buyer for renewal and upsell opportunities, and make introductions as necessary for Cross-Sellers
  • Develop, manage, and nurture client relationships within assigned accounts
  • Achieving assigned sales billing and bookings quotas
  • Monitoring account satisfaction and identifying customer problems; coordinate with corporate Customer Engagement team to remedy situations
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date expert understanding of assigned account solutions and understanding of relevant competitor solutions
  • Research and actively identify emerging trends that influence the corporate value proposition
  • Communicate value propositions to existing accounts
  • Identify and coordinate involvement of sales operations resources in the sales cycle to improve efficiencies
  • Proactively manage pipeline; input, monitor and update opportunities in the CRM


  • A Graduate with a degree in Business or Marketing or Communications or similar
  • Fluency in Japanese and English language skills
  • 2 to 5 years of experience gained in a sales orientated Account Management role in a corporate environment
  • Experience in managing B2B corporate account relationships, identifying additional sales opportunities and closing deals

  • Self-starter with excellent time-management skills
