Who is our client

Our client is a cutting-edge hardware scale-up digitizing industrial facilities with AI-powered sensor networks. Their product is a plug and play device that measures industrial equipment behavior, designed to be deployed at scale to locate and detect failures across a plant. The tech can be applied to many applications in industrial facilities – with the first target application remote monitoring of steam traps. These are known to fail frequently and cause major energy losses and production downtime for the customer. This is a huge (45% global fuel consumption produces steam) and untapped market ripe for innovation.



The Role -Account Manager 

They are seeking a talented individual to secure sales and help manage customer success - from lead generation through to install. You will become an expert on steam systems and steam traps in support of their consultative sales process. You will work closely with the rest of the sales, customer success, and marketing teams to continue to refine and optimize the sales playbook and have a major impact on business growth strategy

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in lead generation of prospective customers
  • Lead prospective customers through the sales funnel to close sales in a timely manner
  • Manage your sales pipeline to ensure goals are achieved on a consistent basis
  • Carefully cultivate and manage positive customer relationships throughout the sales process and beyond
  • Work with our customer success team for ongoing customer support, retention and upselling
  • Provide steam system and steam trap technical expertise and advice to prospective customers during the sales process
  • Prepare quarterly presentations on goal achievements and how you will meet the upcoming quarter’s expectations.

Desired Attributes and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales role
  • Technical knowledge and experience with industrial systems and equipment, ideally with steam
  • Proven ability managing customer relationships and experience to positive business outcomes
  • A relationship builder, a people person and a strong team player
  • Capable of working in a high-pressure environment with a strong sense of urgency, and effectively meet required deadlines and priorities
  • Knowledge and experience with hardware, AI, and IoT devices an asset
  • Ability to work out of your professional home office and travel for meetings.
