Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Reports To: Manager, Financial Accounting and Reporting

Job Summary
 

Responsible for processing payments of supplier invoices, employee’s expense reports,

reconciling vendor accounts and other adhoc reports for AP.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Process high volume supplier invoices by entering accurate invoice information in SAP and ensuring proper matching with purchase order and receipt of materials/services (3 way match).
  • Process weekly expense reports by performing initial review, ensuring expenses are properly supported with appropriate receipts/backups, proper approvals obtained and coding of expenditures/taxes in SAP. Ensure strict adherence to company travel and expense policy.
  • Reconcile and process credit card payment for air travel , gas and other purchases by corporate credit card.
  • Process high volume Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT), wire transfers and weekly/bi-weekly cheque run for supplier invoices and employee expense claims.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling statements and related transactions.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain complete documentation of employee expense report files and vendor files.
  • Assist with interim and year-end audit requests.
  • Comply with our Clients Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environment, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor.
  • Gathering of AP statistics.

  • Other adhoc tasks as required.

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

 

Work Experience:

 

  • Must have 5+ years of AP experience
  • Knowledge of SAP-AP module a must
  • Knowledge of sales tax, ITCs
  • Experience with Concur expense application

 

Skills and Competencies:

 

  • Proven to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Advanced excel skills and proficient computer skills
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and organization skills
  • Ability to process and follow-up on rush ad-hoc tasks
  • Attention to details
  • Time management – ability to manage and prioritize workload
  •
