Job Description:

Crucial technical interface with sales team and client. Tasked with industrial design and layout drawings in accordance with client specification requirements supplied by sales team.  Responsible for technical support and compliance for sales team.  Tasked as well with establishing collaborative and clear communication with clients, customers and sales team.

Capable of working closely with Italian parent company to ensure that project plans are clearly understood and in accordance with manufacturing parameters and capabilities. In addition to these functions will need to develop specific and/or special solutions for client requirements if not available as standard. This will require close collaboration with Italian counterparts or other support manufacturing teams.

Ensure client satisfaction in all phases of the project

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Design finishing systems within company equipment and software platforms
  2. Liaise with client and area sales team
  3. Posses excellent knowledge of latest AutoDesk CAD design tools and be able to develop efficiency macros for standard layouts
  4. Well-developed communication skills to be able to work with local and Italian engineers as projects require
  5. Fluid delivery system design skill specific for material and project need
  6. Make project and equipment design recommendation to Italian parent based on client and sales team comments and feedback
  7. Competent presentation skills, able to explain design procedures clearly and show reasons for choices made in designs
  8. Ensure all project and equipment designs are within budgetary constraints and manage running costs
  9. Compile service requirements for project and equipment design (Electrics, Compressed Air, Dust & Air extraction as well as air make up)
  10. Manage and run meetings with senior and C-level executives as well as company owners



Education:  Engineering Degree, preferably mechanical or Industrial . CAD design training, preferably Inventor or comparable software package

Specialized Knowledge:  Experience working with coatings, substrates and application processes

Experience: Preferably 7-10 years in an industrial environment as an industrial or process engineer

Not required but preferred:  Six Sigma certification (design, measure, analyze, improve, control), Lean Manufacturing, Industrial automation or IoT experience

University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
