Publc company. Opportunity for qualified candidate with accounting firm experience and some SEC reporting experience from an accounting firm - to move inside a public company. CPA a plus but not required.
ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
Hybrid position - some remote and some in-office days, Murray, UT.
Assistant Controller for public company. Assistant Controller must have a couple years of audit experience in accounting firm. CPA not required but nice to have. Great opportunity for candidate who does not want the accounting firm career route and wants opportunity to apply accounting and financial experience in order to grow with a profitable public company.
Need familiarity with SEC reporting: 10Q, 10K, DEF 14A and other public company reporting requirements is preferable. Some "knowledge" of the textbook 'rules' from previous accounting firm perspective is important: now "judgment" is important from the public company perspective.
Also need some familiarity with SOX, SOC, ASC 606, ASC 340 etc, and up to date knowledge on applicable codifications to SaaS companies. Hands-on experience with consolidations, financial statements.
Needs to be a self-starter, understand and respect deadlines, does not want to be micromanaged in order to get the job done! Strong work ethic, energetic, work in small team environment. Familiarity with SAGE Intacct is a plus but not required. Advanced Excel required. Reports to Controller.
Company involved with SaaS software.
Local candidates preferred. BS/Accounting . (CPA a plus. MS/MBA a plus)
