JOB DESCRIPTION

This well-respected Top Ten manufacturer, seeks an Automation Manufacturing Engineer in one of their premier manufacturing plants in Vermont. You will be responsible for the design, install and maintenance of automation used in a fast passed manufacturing facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience with automation and electrical engineering
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Integrate automation systems using proven hardware.
  • Focus on the Allen Bradley and B&R PLC, HMI, VFD’s, and communication networks.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot potential problems with existing machine operations, automation, control panels, and field devices.
  • Conduct research to determine viable solutions for identified design issues or improvements.
  • Prepare wiring schematics for safety systems to provide required levels of personnel protection.
  • Evaluation of safety levels with manufacturer data.
  • Prepare recommendations for system improvements to meet the project objectives.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts and interconnect wiring diagrams and a detailed bill of materials.
  • Prepare Allen Bradley and B&R PLC and HMI programming, PLC program cycle flowcharts, and work instructions.
  • Integrate Keyence and/or Cognex camera applications within new and/or existing designs.
  • Integrate Fanuc robot applications within new and/or existing designs.
  • Participate through installation/construction support of the new design.
  • Participate in the commissioning of the new system(s).
  • Participate in training to client personnel for the new automation start-up.
  • Support as-built drawings and support the project after start-up.
