Our Toronto client is an international company developing and selling biological kits/ detection systems for human medical disorders.
Most of these detection kits run on automated lab equipment, controlled by IT software and hardware.
Presently they require a technical support/FSE specialist with a background performing installations, providing technical and backup support activities, hopepfully including IT / hardware / software support.
Based in Toronto, with responsibility for all of Canada. Some travel.
Overall technical support for complex diagnostic laboratory instrumentation. Installations, sales support, technical and backup support, calibration, repairs, maintenance, replacement, warranty services.
Direct contact between vendors and end-users.
Training, acting as a resource for solving operational and technical problems.
Warehousing spare parts for emergency use.
Adopting and setting up optimal strategies for high quality service.
BS or MS biomedical engineering, engineering, or engineering technology certification (e.g. EET).
Must have proven background repairing medical laboratory equipment in Canada or the USA. Service/customer orientation.
Job predominantly from Mississauga office with occasional travel across Canada.
Must be living in the Greater Toronto Area.
Any knowledge of biology, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology in vitro diagnostics helpful.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
French of interest but not a requirement
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
