Our client is a leading analytical services and solutions provider. We are looking for a Business Development Leader to join their team. This person will represent the company’s brand to the environmental consulting community, selling laboratory services related to contaminated site clean-up and general remediation services. Travel expectations are minimal.


  • Create and execute high-level business strategies to strengthen brand awareness, loyalty and ultimately market share
  • Create and maintain relationships within the consultancy industry
  • Leverage a strong consulting background to understand client requirements and deliver service offerings that meet customer needs
  • Manage major accounts and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences
  • Manage a large annual budget, forecast sales and provide senior management with reports and key statistics


  • 5-10 years of environmental consulting experience in contaminated sites
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of business development
  • Ability to work interdependently and spend time in the field representing the brand and liaising with clients
  • Experience working for an environmental consultancy firm and assessing and working with environmental laboratories
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong leader and the ability to manage others and inspire collaboration
