Join this pioneer and global market leader in surface treatment solutions. They solve their clients’ surface problems with innovative, environmentally friendly engineering solutions to enhance adhesion, bond dissimilar materials while protecting the surface.

You'll work from a home office in the Metro Detroit area to generate sales resulting in very lucrative commissions.

• Develop and successfully execute an aggressive sales plan.

• Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, sales orders, sales and rental contracts.

• Prioritize client relationships and provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.

• Collaborate with team members to cross-pollinate information.

• Success means having engaged with 20 new customers, qualified 10 new applications, and closed 5 new contracts resulting in $150-300k total compensation.

• The majority of your customers will be in the automotive industry and your territory will be the state of Michigan.

• Most travel will be local to customer sites with one domestic trip quarterly. Attending trade shows, sales training, other meetings will require some domestic and international travel, 1-2 international trips per year.


  • Knowledge of plastics and materials for automotive applications.
  • Understanding of adhesion and / or dispensing.
  • Industry experience in surface treatment / modification, including materials and adhesion.
  • 5 to 10 years of B2B sales and business development experience in capital equipment.
  • Ability to think critically and process a lot of (sometimes) conflicting information, prioritizes/filters and make decisions with tight deadlines.
  • Need to be highly analytical, technically savvy, and have the ability to be hands-on with the equipment.
  • Exceptional communication skills via email, phone, or in-person. Able to communicate with customers and management effectively and clearly.
  • Must have proof of Covid vaccination
