Business Development IoT executive. Need someone in cybersecurity, network security or embedded SW design who can do business development. Someone who understands security challenges, knows embedded designs for smaller devices if at all possible (ie, comes from an embedded design house or a company that designs their own endpoints or their devices or their own storage devices), has design experience, knows the process of bringing HW and SW together, understands cloud based architectures, SAAS based architectures, SAAS based solutions and network architectures to support large deployment of devices.
Will focus on IoT devices so ideal candidate will bring considerable network communication security space experience, including middleware, and have knowledge, expertise and contacts in the IoT space. Can come from (1) network communication space, (2) HW that facilitates communication systems, (3) manufacturing, (4) system integrators, or (5) custom electronics systems developers. Ideal candidate will have previous startup company experience with verifiable sales experience and can build team. Company has strong Board of Directors and investors who are committed to finance company on long term basis. Candidate will create lead generation system, train others, may have previous CRM system development, to guide/manage this IoT company clients.
The company has developed a complete IoT endpoint security solution for the evolving edge that is resistant to quantum-computing attacks. The IoT solution fits in a 2.4 kB footprint and can securely Provision, Deploy, Identify, Authenticate, Authorize, all IoT devices, no matter how small or constrained. It integrates seamlessly with an organization’s existing network and cloud infrastructures, including those with endpoint devices incapable of using TLS. Company has developed network security product into an integration and deployment tool with full documentation that can be licensed under a ten seat developers license for rapid integration with middleware, hardware and end user applications. Company manufacturers and OEMs secure IoT devices today and future-proof their environments for tomorrow.
Client's product is Software that integrates with Hardware. Most products are unprotected from hackers and there's nothing out there that does the encryption for the devices a small as "0" or "1" IoT devices. (NOTE: IoT extends internet connectivity beyond traditional devices like desktop and laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, to a diverse range of devices and everyday things that utilize embedded technology to communicate and interact with the external environment, all via the internet (ie, thermostats, cars, electronic appliances, lights in household and commercial environments, alarm clocks, speaker systems, vending machines, etc). Estimated there are 12 billion devices currently connected to the internet; by 2020, there will be 26 times more that could be hacked.
This company can protect those products. Looking for a candidate who understands cybersecurity/network security, embedded SW products, can introduce it into the HW market and help customers understand why there's a need for the product and how this SW product fulfills the need. There are lots of examples of IoT devices being hacked and not a general awareness in the marketplace that it's a potential problem and there's a solution to prevent hacking. The Business Development candidate will be a 'hunter' who is tenacious, identify potential users of the technology, open the door and begin the process.

VC funded startup company is a pioneer in IoT (Internet of Things) security, network security, needs Business Development person who is (1) very experienced, seasoned 'hunter' with strong embedded design, network security and/or cybersecurity as it relates to network design and network architectures and SAAS - OR - (2) an "upstart" embedded engineer who understands the technology and wants to get into sales or business development (client has technical people who can come in and help close the technical deal). Both need to be "hunters" who identify potential users of the technology, find the right people inside, close the deal. This is a new product in the IoT world, involves a consulting sale and considerable customer education. Could be a sales application engineer who is a strong "hunter".
