JOB DESCRIPTION

Come join our growing team as a Project Engineer who will be our design architect and coordinate construction efforts for our EMC / RF shielded enclosures. Your experience with Construction Management, RF Engineering or Mechanical Engineering coupled with CAD designs using PTC Creo is required. Experience with sheet metal designs, an understanding of RF / Electromagnetic shielding, as well as the ability to design create and coordinate construction projects of our high tech enclosures is key.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience Required:

A Bachelor's degree coupled with 2-15+ years of industry experience with Construction Management, Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. An Associate's degree would also be considered with applicable industry experience in a design/build environment.

1. Proficiency in 2D & 3D design work (e.g... AutoCAD) with ability to demonstrate; Autodesk certifications is a plus Prior industry experience and/or understanding of RF shielding principles
2. Proficiency using PTC Creo
3. Familiarity with both construction and manufacturing design concepts
4. Ability to conceptualize 3 dimensionally
5. Ability to use knowledge and creativity to develop design efficiency improvements
6. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
7. Ability to read, interpret and generate detailed drawings and schematics
8. Knowledge of dimensioning & tolerance concepts
9. Must be team oriented and willing to work flexible schedule to meet changing priorities
10. Ability to work in the metric system
11. Working knowledge of Windows/Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc...)

Responsibilities   

1. Creation and maintenance of drawing sets for RF Shielded Enclosures and Anechoic Chambers, including: architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical layouts
2. Preparation of manufacturing drawing sets for sheet metal production and other detailed finishes
3. Preparation of material requirements & BOMs
4. Coordination of design for manufacturability requirements
5. Assist Project Management with technical support for customers, vendors, sub-contractors & architects
6. Assist Manufacturing Management with production and vendor coordination as needed
7. Assist Project Management with logistical planning and project related issues as needed
8. 25% travel is expected
