Great opportunity for a CNC Operator at a new plant start-up in Windsor, ONT. - 2 positions available!



  • Responsible for providing high quality machining ability, meeting company and customer standards in a timely and cost-efficient manner working in a team environment.


  • Support operators in the training of loading parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
  • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operation and set up requirements.
  • Measure and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
  • Check accuracy using blueprint and precision measuring tools such as Calipers and Verniers.
  • Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality.
  • Communicates with management, tooling and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining issues.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance function on equipment.
  • Communicate effectively through various technologies
  • Comply with all safety procedures as required by the Health & Safety Act and/or Company practices or procedures including but not limited to the wearing of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as specified by the Act or designated by the Company.



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred in set up CNC lathes, multi-axis lathes and 4-axis horizontal milling, vertical milling machines.
  • Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments.
  • Strong understanding in blue print reading/geometric tolerancing interpretation
  • Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication
  • CNC programming experience is an asset
  • Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
