As the Capital Expense Manager, you will be accountable for the Capital Deployment Process and Contract Administration for the Chemical Plant site.  You will ensure the Project/ Contract Team can meet and exceed operating excellence standards and performance expectations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

--- Develop the Capital Deployment Process and Contract Administration strategies and priorities for the chemical plant site to best support the Business competitive position.

--- Lead and support development of capital engineering and construction management competencies and skills throughout the workforce, continuous development of capital deployment skills, and providing an environment to foster improved teamwork within and between teams/crew

--- Perform Capital management, including, execution, tracking and reporting capital spending.

--- Ensure effective execution of major and minor projects (both capital and expense).

--- Lead and support development of contract administration competencies and skills within site Field Contract Administrators and onsite contractors and provide an environment to foster improved teamwork within and between company and contractors.

--- Manage Contract Administration KPI’s, safety performance, auditing, spending, and performance against contracts/agreements.

--- Manage bidding process for services and equipment purchases as required by company purchasing policies.

--- Ensure chemical plant processes, systems and structures are operating effectively and efficiently to deliver results aligned with the business expectations.

--- Manage fixed and variable costs to department budgeted levels as well as site capital budget.

--- Lead and maintain EHS culture to ensure 100% compliance of EHS regulations, company standards and requirements including Incident Reporting & Audits, safe completion of life critical activities, process safety, and Responsible Care.

--- Provides leadership to the accounts receivable and receipt of service verification process function.

QUALIFICATIONS

--- BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years experience managing capital projects including Budget/ Capital Expenses, and Contract Administration in chemical plants.

--- Proven Leadership/ Management abilities; decision making & problem solving; and ability to react quickly under pressure.

--- Working experience with stage gated capital deployment systems focused on Front End Loading (FEL) prior to project authorization.

--- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, ERP systems/ SAP).

--- Knowledge of chemical technologies & equipment, scale-up procedures, troubleshooting, equipment design and construction management.

--- LEAN manufacturing experience desired.

--- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

--- Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.

 

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
