Job Description:

Capital & Liquidity Risk is part of the Corporate Risk team and is responsible for providing independent risk oversight of liquidity, capital, and interest rate risks for the Consumer and GWIM businesses. This includes providing effective review and challenge of liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk management processes and ensuring the front-line units pursue strategic objectives within their risk appetite.

 

Responsible for providing independent liquidity and capital risk oversight of the Consumer and GWIM businesses in partnership with cross-functional teams including CFO, Treasury, Front Line Units (FLUs), Finance, and FLU Risk teams to enhance the FLU’s liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk management programs.

 

Answerable for directing execution of risk framework events, including but not limited to, autonomous risk monitoring and testing of controls and risk management processes, as well as independent valuations and reviews.

Capital & Liquidity Risk Senior Manager or Director

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Partner with various teams to help recognize and quantify risks as part of the Risk Identification process. Deliver an independent view of vital risks based on internal and external factors for Senior Management.
  2. Review recovery and resolution strategy and liquidity stress testing procedures, including situations and stress testing expectations, and provide effective challenge. Lead independent review and validation of liquidity models and communicate findings to backers.
  3. Assess new product approval requests to safeguard liquidity, capital, and interest rate risks are appropriately considered.
  4. Keep abreast of developing regulatory necessities and provide guidance on the impact of these regulations.
  5. Assess potential business performance impacts of liquidity, capital, and interest rate risks to the bank.
  6. Provide effective review and challenge partners when needed on strategic plans. Create risk controls, metrics and limits to appropriately monitor liquidity, capital and interest rate risks within the businesses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. Deep business-centric mindset; understands how business decisions impact capital and liquidity risk
  2. Eight or more years of Risk Management experience within Banking or Financial Services
  3. Deep communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  5. Corporate Treasury or Global Risk Management knowledge with acquaintance of stress testing, recovery and resolution planning, strategic planning, credit risk and/or operational risk management

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
