JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Chief Operating Officer - must have home health and hospice experience
Description: The COO works towards these objectives by managing the administrative, operational, logistical, and technological needs of the organization as a whole. This is a multi-faceted role with several moving parts, significant responsibility, and a great deal of autonomy.
- 150 full time employees, 20 part time and per diem.
- 4 locations - 3 have hospice services.
- All directors will report to the COO approx. 4 directors.
- Census of home health runs around 450 and hospice around 80

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Company Home Health and Hospice
- Oversee all areas of staffing, revenue, company growth, employee satisfaction.
- Field incoming opportunities, partnerships and deals in coordination with the company’s owners.
- Coordinate project timelines and schedules in accordance with contractual obligations and company goals
- Work with the company’s owners to develop and implement long term growth strategies.
- Review company operations to look for efficiencies.
- Help maintain and contribute to a positive company culture.
- Achieving business goals, revenue, and profitability objectives through a respectful, forward thinking and motivational style.
- Providing training and development support to ensure all staff of supported practices demonstrate knowledge of business model, operating procedures, and protocols.
- Support daily office operations.
- Understand and interpret Key Performance Indicators and adjust operational functions accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPPA policy and procedures.
- Assist with implementing and continuously improving best practices through monitoring, evaluating, planning, coordinating, directing and communicating.
- Oversight and management of the Sales/ Marketing team

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications and Skills
- MUST HAVE HOME HEALTH AND HOSPICE EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field required. MBA or other relevant Master's degree preferred.
- Five or more years’ experience as a COO, operations executive or similar position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners.
- Ability to handle multiple, high-leverage partner relationships in execution of overall organization strategy.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Apple/Macbook proficiency, Google and other data systems
- Self-Starter – you should be able to learn quickly and be resourceful in finding answers to questions or problems you are not familiar with
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to manage a team, coach, and direct staff.
Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
