Civil Engineer with min 0-2+ years experience and experience in Civil 3D and AutoCAD. Experience with earthwork calculations, storm water management, sedimentation control, road and site design, foundation design, steel and concrete design, and preparation of plans and specs.
Civil Engineer II to join CE department with duties including: civil engineering computations and plan preparation, field inspection and data gathering, construction layout and monitoring client & public meeting attendance and presentation, client interface and preservation of relationships.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Civil with a BS in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program. Experience in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Experience with earthwork calculations, storm water management, sedimentation control, road & site design, foundation design, steel & concrete design, and preparation of plans & specifications. Will plan, design, direct CE projects, such as roads, bridges, dams, irrigation systems, pipelines, site grading, structures, etc. Analyze reports, maps, drawings, survey data, historic information, codes & laws and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects. Collect data, field measurements & operate survey equipment. Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, applying knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics. Prepares/modifies report specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects. Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction codes and safety standards. Ability to direct activities at project site. Interacting with customers, vendors and team members requiring courtesy, discretion & sound judgment with good planning & organizational skills. Become licensed as a Professional Engineer in a reasonable time frame and in states requested. Prioritize and organize, work well under stress and meet deadlines. Completion of accurate time entry through eTime Track, report logs and field notes. Proactive, positive and professional approach and attitude with the ability to be adaptable and flexible. Work effectively as a team contributor on assignments. Performs other duties and assignments as requested.
