Our client is an international mining organization with business offices throughout the globe and requires a Communications Coordinator for its Investor Relations and Corporate Communications team in downtown Vancouver. As Communications Coordinator you will plan, create, and produce high quality, visual design solutions (print and digital media) to meet the communications and marketing needs as required. The communications needs that you will support will include, marketing, corporate communications, internal communications, signage, display and merchandising, and community engagement with the ability to produce the graphics design, illustration and preparation of presentations. The incumbent should be comfortable in a professional corporate environment, a strong team player and highly organized with the ability to juggle many responsibilities at once.


  • Collaborate with corporate communications to ensure branding and messaging are aligned with corporate guidelines
  • Manage the process of content generation, graphic design and layout for communications materials such as brochures, booth posters, corporate videos, PowerPoint presentations, reports, etc.
  • Administer content, design, operational oversight and maintenance of company websites
  • Build relationships with internal clients and manage expectations while adhering to deadlines
  • Manage department filing for creative assets – photos, branding suite, etc.
  • Research and gain an in-depth understanding of each internal clients’ business
  • Participate in calls, gather internal clients’ requirements and brainstorm with the teams to develop content and design for various Social Media platforms
  • Assist in creating graphics for all Social Media sites and manage postings
  • Use Social Media Management (SMM) tools to manage various sites, workflows, and approvals
  • Coordinate with internal teams for social posting, content and design
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor followers and comments using Social Media listening tools
  • Oversee Social Media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover and profile pictures)
  • Provide back-up for department administrative duties, as required
  • Ensure deliverables are met consistently on time and above expected quality


  • 2+ years’ experience in Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design or Social Media
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • Proficiency in web platforms and Social Media platforms (FB, LinkedIn, Twitter and WeChat, etc.). Proficiency in SMM tools such as Hootsuite, Lithium or Spredfast would be an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent eye for design, able to visualize concepts and translate into engaging graphics
  • Excellent customer services and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a clear affinity for continuous quality improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast?paced environment with flexible work hours as needed to meet tight deadlines
