An exceptional World Class Tier I Automotive supplier has an immediate need to fill a position of Continuous Improvement Manager for their plant located about 40 miles north of Dayton, Ohio.  The successful candidate will have worked either as CIM, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Lean Manager, Lean Engineer, Kaizen Engineer, Kaizen Manager, Industrial Engineer or similar within a high paced manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.

Job Description:  CI Position

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Provides leadership to the plant in the methods of continuous improvement

• Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to achieve the plants CI Road Map

• Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to achieve the plants Lean Annual Plan

• Creates a work environment that drives continuous improvement and employee engagement

• Maintains reporting and accuracy of Kaizen measurable and CI metrics, including on time administration of the Auria Production System

• Supports and mentors Green Belts and Black Belts

• Facilitates Kaizen events as needed and when needed

• Collects and analyzes data on plant processes, procedures, and performance using lean manufacturing evaluation tools and makes recommendations on improvement opportunities

• Tracks, monitors and reports regularly on project status, monitors improvement milestones to ensure on-time completion and sustainability of results

• Trains plant personnel on lean manufacturing tools

• Supports sister plants in continuous improvement activity/fresh eyes events

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE and MINUMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent experience

• Must have plant operations experience (preferably Tier 1 automotive experience in a unionized facility)

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented, union environment

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills, including presentation planning and delivery skills

• Strong organizational skills with project planning or program management expertise

• Working knowledge of the TS16949/ISO14001 standard

• Some overnight travel will be required
