                                      Attention Real Estate Financial Managers- Controller Opportunity with Successful Real Estate Investor/ Operator

Our client has a successful record of investing in market rate housing for institutional investors. The Company believes its experience as an owner/ operator is critical to its past and future success. After producing excellent returns in their last two funds, the Company is looking to raise another fund and has already begun to acquire new properties. This is a great chance for a newly minted Controller and/or an up and coming Assistant Controller to join this experienced leadership team. The desired candidate has excellent business judgment, is attentive to detail and has the ability to perform at a high level with little direct supervision. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy work place, and is well-versed in closely working with senior management.The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer, who is also actively involved in the Company's acquisitions efforts.








Our client  is looking for a capable, diligent and experienced financial professional. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer of the company. The primary focus of the role will be involvement in all aspects of the accounting function of the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budget management, financial analysis, cash management, risk management and supervising the accounting staff (accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll).

Operationally, the Controller will monitor net operating rents , leasing activity and property redevelopment activities. The selected candidate will also support banking activities, be the primary point of contact for the outside audit and any tax structure guidance.

This role will also serve as a business advisor to the CEO. Success is this capacity requires the ability to deliver and present thorough analysis in a timely fashion to the leadership team. Also, the Controller will direct other office related activities such as human resources on an as needed basis.










         Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline

         Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred; MBA is a plus

         5+ years of real estate accounting experience preferred

         Strong interpersonal and communication skills; impeccable analytical and organizational skills are necessary

         Personal attributes include being self-motivated and self-directed

         Ability to work closely with a senior management team is critcal.
