JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our team!  We are a rapidly growing environmental services company, privately owned and operated in the mid-Atlantic region of the US.  We are seeking a talented up & coming professional to join our accounting and finance team.  Our employees benefit from our investments in technology and training and see their careers flourish while also aiding our environmental sustainability endeavors. 

Position Summary:  This position is responsible for financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and some limited general ledger project work. This position is a key liaison connecting our multiple business units and reports directly to Controller.

Responsibilities

• Create and advance financial models and prepare ad-hoc analysis to support critical initiatives.
• General ledger maintenance for specific accounts.
• Produce and summarize financial analysis.
• Prepare executive level reporting of metrics and financial results for internal and external audiences, including Board of Directors.
• Prepare and assist with debt compliance reporting and communication with debt stakeholders.
• Support with financial projects such as budgets and weekly, monthly and long-term forecasts
• Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Compile analysis schedules for board meeting reporting packages and other investor relations activities  
• Assist with the company’s acquisitions process, including purchase accounting, valuation procedures, and due diligence.
• Assist with intangible valuation for acquisitions in accordance with ASC 805, including review of work performed by external valuation specialists.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications for consideration includes:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting OR Finance
• 3+ years of experience performing similar duties as those described
• 3 years as an experienced associate working for a national public accounting firm as an external auditor may substitute for the experience requirement noted above
• Strong experience using Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communications skills
