Data Analytics and Model Audit - Program Manager

Work with numerous members of the internal audit and line of business teams to evaluate business data and supplementary data associations to mature and produce testing populations, analytic reporting, and visualizations to appraise the adequacy of internal controls.

Must be fully committed to improving the control environment and business performance through independent and regular assessments of business processes, risk, management activities, and information systems throughout the Bank. Your results will be utilized by management to implement enhancements, resulting on improvements to internal control environment, business performance, and customer service. 


Data Analytics and Model Audit - Program Manager

  1. Self-reliantly complete projects from start to finish and lead other Audit employees or staff members on larger projects.
  2. Analyze and review business data to identify vital performance indicators pertaining to operations, risk, finance, compliance, or process controls.
  3. Partner effectively with cross-functional teams of data analysts, Risk and Compliance teams, and MIS technology teams.
  4. Create strong working relationships with primary model participants, including model developers, users, validation teams and senior management.
  5. Translate business necessities into clear objectives.
  6. Assumes a vital and visible leadership role on the team, supervising junior staff and consultants as required.
  7. Supervises the development and generation of the Data Analytics & Model Audit effort within the bank.
  8. Examines and approves work to ensure that it meets or exceeds Institute of Internal Auditors expectations.
  9. Perform data analysis and reporting using business intelligence tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Robust written and verbal skills with a robust project management orientation that drives for results, and a customer service focus.
  • Extremely conversant in data analytics, data governance and information management.
  • A deep and impactful understanding of ETL process, Data Quality and analysis tools.
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts.
  • Ten or more years' experience as a business analyst, project manager, or auditor that includes experience with Excel and Sql and/or SAS.
  • Bachelor Degree in finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems and/or Economics with an emphasis in computer science and/or Data Analytics.
  • Master's Degree a highly preferred plus.
  • The capacity to design and constructs analytical business and technology reporting to obtain identified vital indicators.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools to perform structured problem analysis to identify data anomalies. These include but are not limited to SQL Developer, MicroStrategy, ACL, Monarch, etc.
  • Experience with visualization tools and effective use of these tools.
