Our client is looking for a fully remote DevOps Engineer to join a development team to enable and accelerate development, testing, deployment, and observability across the application. In this role, you will research and advocate for technology and tooling choices, design and implement CI/CD pipelines and processes, build and maintain monitoring and alerting for production systems, and help drive forward operational excellence across the org. Unlike other DevOps positions, you will integrate directly with a development team, participating in scrum ceremonies, sprint progression, and day-to-day engineering tasks.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Automate and orchestrate workflows across the application and organization
  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Participate actively in scrum/agile ceremonies such as standup, grooming, planning, and retro
  • Advocate for operational excellence in all aspects of the application
  • Research and share industry best practices
  • Document and share knowledge within and across teams
  • Assist team members with work and questions

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in a SaaS/PaaS/IaaS or other Cloud Computing related field
  • 1+ years of experience with Docker & Kubernetes
  • 1+ years of experience in Python development
  • Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, and AWS Step Functions
  • Experience with IaaS tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience with Big Data tools such as Amazon EMR, Hadoop, Spark, Netflix Genie, or other related tools
  • Experience with Data Warehouse technologies such as Snowflake and/or Amazon Redshift
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD and Automation workflows with tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, and Helm
  • Comfortable working in Linux and Windows environments
