The role of Director of Credit will be based in CIV and operate as part of the executive team. The Director of Credit is responsible for driving the commercial strategies to minimize credit risk and meet revenue targets from the organisations client base.

The role of Director of Credit will be based in CIV and operate as part of the executive team. The Director of Credit is responsible for driving the commercial strategies to minimize credit risk and meet revenue targets from the organisations client base.

The Director of Credit will drive the identification, development and implementation of all commercial opportunities driving sustainable growth.

The successful candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset that thrives in a start-up environment, a creative strategist with excellent organisational abilities. The role spans driving repayment focus within the sales team, CVM (Customer Value Management), in-life customer channel management and Mobile Money, and requires the ability to create partnerships to drive a thriving mobile money ecosystem.

Experience in a fast growing, dynamic work environment

?  Sophisticated analytical skills, and a data-driven approach to analyzing complex   problems. This needs to be in 

?  Experience with credit scoring and customer segmentation is a plus

?  Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to be innovative and comfortable to challenge the status quo

?  Fluency in French and English

Consumer/B2C experience is required rather than Enterprise/Corporate/SME 

• Leading/Involved in driving initiatives to improve performance (developing policies, customer segmentation and management framework, etc...)

• Frequent collaboration across departments to implement initiatives (customer service, sales, ...)

Candidates should have experience from one of these industries.  Risk and Credit Operations managers in banking/MFIs,  Market Segment/Proposition/Product Managers in FMCG/Telco companies,  Customer Value Management specialists in  FMCG/Telco companies

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
