                                    Director of Revenue Operations

The Company values diversity, equity, and inclusion. They are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive. The Director of Revenue Operations is a senior leadership position within the Finance organization, is newly created and reports to the VP & Corporate Controller.

The selected candidate will lead the revenue function, will partner closely with Sales, Sales Operations, IT, FP&A, and Legal and strive to influence and drive results for a wide array of business initiatives. The Director will serve as the Finance organization’s subject matter expert on revenue recognition for all of SAAS and payment solutions and partner with the business to provide revenue recognition compliant solutions, including contract reviews, non-standard sales deals and new product introductions.  The Director of Revenue Operations will play a key leadership role in the Finance organization around process improvement, system implementations and optimizations and mentoring the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the revenue accounting close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with US. GAAP, internal controls and company policy and procedures.
  • Oversee billing, credit & collection team and work to enhance current cash reconciliation processes between payers, billers and payment processors to drive a faster monthly close process.
  • Provide leadership, business partnering, or decision support on complex revenue-related transactions and new product launches.
  • Assist corporate accounting team with developing financial statement disclosures related to revenue recognition
  • Monitor regulatory or business changes and address impacts to revenue accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to identify continuous improvement opportunities and/or optimize revenue accounting operations.
  • Hire, manage and develop a high-performing team where inclusion and diversity of thought are leveraged for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead/support other company and CFO organization initiatives and projects including new system implementations.
  • Lead cross functional effort to redesign the quote to cash process and identify how future strategic business and product changes will impact the quote to cash processes.
  • Manage the sales contract review process for Finance and liaise with Sales Operations and Legal to help structure contract terms that adhere to revenue recognition policies.
  • Develop a culture of mentorship, continuous improvement, training, and success in the revenue organization.
  • Support external audit requirements and liaise with external auditors to address technical accounting and audit risk areas related to revenue.
  • Assist FP&A with creating and delivering revenue metrics and reporting.
  • Partner with the sales teams to establish deal desk and sales commission processes within the revenue team.

QUALIFICATIONS

                                     Director of Revenue Operations

Qualifications:

  • 10 plus years in a leadership/management position in an accounting organization, with demonstrated ability and track record of success in driving change and improving operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA is required; MBA preferred.
  • Software revenue recognition (606) experience in technology and/or services companies is required.
  • FinTech, Software and SAAS experience is required.
  • Experience with one or more financial ERP/general ledger systems, Salesforce and supplementary revenue systems/modules is a plus
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent time and project management skills - can coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in high-paced business culture.

Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
